today i am loving...

easter chocolate!!!

pretty predictable for this weekend. 
but its true.


my vices are usually salty (chips) not sweet (chocolate).

but this time of year, i love easter chocolates. 

mini eggs, cadbury cream eggs - all of them. 

yum yum yum!

i had to work today. 
so the chocolate helped get me through. 

i will try my best to portion control them out

and not eat them all at once.
try...we'll see how i do.

short work weeks!

its a short week because of easter. 

i have friday off and am taking thursday as a holiday. 

3 days of work & 4 days off in a row is bliss :)

i am heading to see my mom wednesday night. 

we have some fun plans for our couple days together.

so that is what i am loving today.

for those days when you have no groceries

and no drive to cook anything.

take out can be amazing and delicious. 

tonight, we got thai/vietnamese from a place near my work.

lots of food at a good price. 

which means leftovers for lunch tomorrow too!!

today i am loving...

grandparents!!!

(unfortunately, i dont have grandparents pictures...need to scan some in)

i lost all my grandparents when i was relatively young. 

the one i was closest too passed in 2003

i miss them all terribly. 

grandparents are such a wonderful link to your family and your history.
there's nothing like them.


last night we were able to spend some time with matty's grandpa. 
he is the sweetest man with so many amazing stories. 
he is an engineer and built so many bridges and things in ottawa.
he recently lost his wife of 56 years. 
i think its incredible that there are people who can say they were 
married to the love of their life for 56 years! 


so today...i remember my grandparents...
and smile.

it was a busy weekend with lots of plans. 

so luckily having another day off to get the errands done

 has been lovely. 

i love when productivity and relaxing can work together in a day. 

along with being productive, it has been relaxing. 

i will go back to work tomorrow with some fresh energy.

I am hopeful that the weather in Toronto 

is going to take a turn to the + side this week.

The forecast shows most days 

this week will be between zero and +10 degrees Celsius

To me...that is amazing and exciting. 

My gym membership runs out today...

so the timing couldn't be more perfect to start running outside!

i went to visit her on saturday/sunday.

it was so nice spending time with her. 

she is a such an amazing lady. 

who has done SOOO much for me and my brothers.

in my younger years i did not appreciate her

and everything she did for us

as much as i should have.

so i am making up for it now.

she is amazing and i love her today and everyday.

(i was sick with either the flu or food poisoning)

* feeling better = love!!

* taking pictures this past weekend

* enjoying the company of my mans friends - we had a blast!

* getting great news from my older brother

* that its 0 degrees outside today (warm for this time of year in canada)

* an upcoming weekend with very little plans

* drinking water

* one more week till valentines day -

today has been named blue monday. 

the most depressing day of the year. 

this morning getting out of bed to go to work - i felt the depressing. 

luckily, some positivity and good thinking got me out of my funk.
